An alternative to Treatwell
Treatwell is a hair and beauty marketplace, with software for salons. Apronta is your business’s own website, with bookings inside it, at your address. Treatwell’s terms change from country to country, so the table gives each country’s, as its own pages publish them.
Prices and terms checked on 10 October 2026, on each company’s public pages.
The short answer
If you want new clients from a hair and beauty marketplace, and accept paying a share of the first booking of each new client it brings you, choose Treatwell.
If you want your own website with bookings, a free plan to start on, and no fee for any new client, choose Apronta.

Where Treatwell is stronger
- The marketplace: Treatwell can put your salon in front of people looking for hair and beauty there who do not know you yet, and charges only for each one’s first booking. Apronta has no marketplace and brings no clients by itself.1, 2, 6
- A till at the counter: its plans list a point of sale for checkout and product sales management. Apronta takes payments online and sells no card terminals.1, 5, 6
- SMS reminders listed as free on its Portuguese page and unlimited on its Italian one. On Apronta, Pro comes with 100 texts a month and Marca with 400.2, 5
Who each one is for
Treatwell
For hair and beauty salons that want to be found by new clients on a marketplace, and are happy to pay a commission on each one’s first booking.
Apronta
For a business whose clients already know it, that wants a website of its own with bookings inside it, a free plan to start on and no fee for any new client.
How to switch from Treatwell
- Paste your Google Maps listing at apronta.co, or type your business’s name. In under twenty seconds you have a draft with the name, address, hours and the start of a catalogue, to correct before you publish.
- If the tool you use today lets you download your clients and bookings as a CSV file, import them in the dashboard. Before anything is saved, you see which are new, which are already there and which are left out, and why.
- Swap the booking link on Instagram, on your Google listing and in your messages for your page’s address.
- Keep the old account until the bookings already in it have passed, and cancel only then. Apronta has no contract, so you can start on Montra, for free, while you move.
